Oil Free Vegetable Fried Rice

Have some leftover rice? Great! Make some fried rice! It’s super easy to make and tastes EXACTLY like take out. This recipe is a healthy alternative to take out and is completely OIL FREE. Best part is you can customize it with any vegetables of your choice.

I love how easy this recipe is to put together – there’s really no wrong way of making it. It’s definitely one of those recipes that you should experiment with to find your preference.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup diced mushroom
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Tamari
  • 1/2 tsp chili paste

  1. In a hot wok, saute the mushrooms until they're soft.
  2. Add in the frozen peas, green onions, broccoli, carrots, and garlic - mix until well combined.
  3. Add in the hoisin sauce, tamari, and chili paste and mix. Cover the wok with a lid and let the veggies steam for about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Remove the lid and mix. Add in the cooked rice and mix until the rice and vegetables are completely incorporated.
  5. Keep stirring the fried rice until they've slightly browned
  6. Garnish with copped green onions and serve hot
