Chickpea Avocado Sliders

Chickpea Avocado sliders are the best easy to put together food for lunch, dinner, or even a get together. I just added a few spices to my mixture, but you can customize how you like to add additional seasonings and spices of your choice. These sliders are super easy to make and are packed with protein and flavor!

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! Just make the patties, cover them in foil and stick them in the freezer. Just pop them out when you’re ready to cook and assemble the sliders.

What kind of rolls should I use?

I wanted to make this completely gluten free, so I used these gf vegan ciabatta rolls. You can use any rolls of your choice, just make sure they’re vegan and gf if that’s what you prefer.

Do I need to use any flour?

I didn’t need to. I just used bread crumbs instead – it adds more flavor, but you can easily substitute the bread crumbs with gluten free flour instead.

Keep it healthy with healthy spreads/sauces.

For these sliders, I kept it pretty simple. I used an avocado spread as the base for the buns and then a creamy Tzatziki sauce for the topping. The combination was AMAZING!!!

Avocado spread:
Mash up 1 large ripe avocado, 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp paprika, salt, and 1 tsp of lemon juice – mix to combine well.
I used my homemade vegan Tzatziki sauce recipe for these sliders. I love this sauce, it goes well with pretty much everything and it’s so flavorful.

Can I bake these instead of cooking them on the stove?

Yes you can. Just place them on a baking sheet lined with nonstick parchment paper and bake them at 400º F for 20-25 minutes, flipping them over halfway.

What toppings should I use?

Any toppings of your choice. I used fresh arugula and sliced red onions for my sliders. Cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions, or even avocado slices would be great toppings as well.
