Ingredients :
3-4 cooked sweet potatoes
1 1/2 cups cooked black beans
1 white onion - finely chopped
1/2 jalapeño pepper - finely chopped
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp flaxseed (plus 3 tbsp water)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 tsp cumin
salt to taste

Instructions:
sauté the onions (adding very litt water as needed) Until onions turn translucent and slightly brown
add in the jalapeño and minced garlic and sauté for another 2-4 minutes - set aside and cool
Prepare your flaxseed, which will serve as our egg replacer. Mix 3 tbsp water to the 1 tbsp flaxseed and set aside for 5 minutes
in a large bowl, add the cooked sweet potatoes and mash until there are no more big chunks
add in the cooked black beans and mash about 75% of the beans; you want to leave some of the whole beans to get a good consistency
add in the onion mixture and all the spices- mix well until all the ingredients are completely incorporated
start forming your patties to your desired thickness. Lightly dab each side of the patty in almond flour
freeze the formed patties for about 20 minutes
on a hat pan, cook the patties for about 3-5 minutes each side
assemble and enjoy :)
