Oil free Air Fryer Fries/Wedges

Looking for the perfect snack that's delicious and healthy? Try these super easy fries/potato wedges that are oil free and only need 3 ingredients!

The best part about Air Fryer Fries is there's really no wrong way of making them and you can use any seasoning you like. These potato fries/wedges are definitely a crowd pleaser and are perfect for those times you just want to snack.

I prefer using gold potatoes only because they have a naturally creamy taste, plus I love the way they crisp up in the air fryer. The key is to cut them the perfect thickness (especially if you're looking for a crispy fry).

One thing I did notice is that you have to be careful not to overfill the air fryer basket. This will make it hard for all the fries to fry evenly (leaving some of them not fried at all).


3-5 gold potatoes

salt to taste

seasoning of your choice (I used 3 different seasonings for this post: chaat masala, garlic herb seasoning, and cajun seasoning)


  1. peel and cut your potatoes in half lengthwise then add them to a steamer for about 15 minutes or until they are tender and you can pierce them with a fork.

  2. Stick the potatoes in the freezer for about 15-17 minutes. This will help cool them down and make them hard so it will be easier to cut. (I just leave them in the steamer and put the whole thing in the freezer).

  3. Cut your potatoes into your desired shape - I cut them in different shapes each time, but you want to make sure each batch is consistent. Add cut potatoes to a baking sheet.

  4. Season with salt and seasoning of your choice.

  5. Line your air fryer basket with either foil or parchment paper and add the cut potato fries.

  6. Air Fry at 370º for 15 minutes (please note that all air fryers are different, so please adjust accordingly).

  7. They should come out nice and crispy :) Enjoy
